When I search for "the best cheese cake in Singapore", Cake Spade is always there on the list. Located in 83 Tanjong Pagar Road, Cake Spade is like a hidden gem. From the first time of arrival, I have been attracted by their exterior design, the pink-coloured wall, which is so different compared to other stores along the roadπ Then at the moment I step in, I can see that some spots are made for Instagram. But, too bad I didn't manage to take one cos I was just so excited to try their cakes.
This is actually my second time to the cafe after they have moved. The first time was when I was looking for the original taste of red velvet, so I tried their Pomegranate Red Velvet. Although previously the place was pretty small with only a few seats inside, I've got to say that it worth the trip down there. They sell variety of cakes and their Red Velvet is really the best in town in my opinion. I enjoyed every bite of its dense yet light texture and I think its dense texture is what make me addicted to their red velvet.
The next time I went there, they already modified the Red Velvet toppings from Pomegranate become crunched chocolate and I feel that its texture becomes a bit lighter. But it doesn't really matter for me cos what's matter most is the presence of that addicting dense texture.
I was also very curious when I looked at that name of "tofu cheesecake". The cheese layer has a solid and soft texture like a tofu. Then, on top of it is a fresh sliced strawberry inside a strawberry jelly. With that crumbly cracker base like the normal cheesecake, the tofu cheesecake is complete. This would be perfect for someone who doesn't like strong cheese flavour, but not for me since I prefer a cheesecake with strong cheese flavour.

On the right of the picture is the Spiced Carrot Cake. To be honest, this is the second time I tried carrot cake since I am not a fan of it. But I am so curious about how good it is until it become one of the best carrot cake in Singapore. The light carrot sponge cake layered with cream cheese frosting is a perfect combination. In companion with the strong flavour of the spice, I feel that this is the best carrot cake that I have ever tried.
If I were give ratings for them, I would rate their Red Velvet 10/10, Tofu Cheesecake 7/10 and Spiced Carrot Cake 6.5/10.
The only thing is that they don't a self-service water station like usually provided in other cafes, so bring your water bottle along. Otherwise, you can also buy the small water bottle there with cake spade tag on it π π
